Cindy Bray

Susanna BrizuelaSusana Brizuela

Born without rhythm and disowned by her family for her disability, she raised herself on the cold, hard streets banging garbage can lids together, a skill that has served her well as a Pip. She has worked hard to overcome her deficiencies for the sake of her children, Cathy and Andrew. She finds solace in the fact that she had a talent for which Lockheed-Martin employed her as a software engineer. She has also been known to perform (although not on the garbage can lid) and direct with the Empire Lyric Players. She has, in years past, been known to "put on airs" as Felicity for the Carolers as well, although she did miss banging the dingers together (they remind of her earlier days). Today she lives in Centennial with her family, numerous pets, and lid-less garbage cans.

Claudia CarsonClaudia Carson has the distinct pleasure of being the only "original" Original Dickens Caroler. She started 25 years ago and brought along some "dingers" to add a little rhythm. Little did she know that she would still be performing all these years later. Thanks to David and Julie Payne, a group of 4 street performers became a successful seasonal business with 40 carolers!

When Claudia is not caroling she works full time at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. She is a professional Stage Manager and Production Manager. She has been a professional actress, director, and choreographer throughout Denver with too many credits to mention, and too embarrassed to list them. Singing and performing with the ODC is truly a joy and she is thrilled to have Michelle Paul leading the company when David and Julie needed to change a direction in their lives.

Sarah GroverSarah Grover is very excited to join this talented group of singers. Having grown up in Virginia Beach, she found herself surrounded with lots of budding talent and was that much more inspired to follow her dreams of performing in front of live audiences. When she graduated high school, she moved to New York to pursue this passion and study musical theatre. There, she found work in the NYC Fringe Festival and touring the country as Junie B. Jones. Finally, she moved to Colorado with her incredibly supportive boyfriend so they could both continue working in the arts without the crazy expenses the Big Apple demanded. Since moving here, she has performed in Colorado Repertory Theatre's Wizard of Oz as Dorothy Gale. Currently, she is working at Midtown Arts Center with fellow caroler Margie Lamb as Natalie in Next to Normal. Many thanks to Drew, the Hirschboecks, her family and friends. You're the best.

The Diners and Cool Shooz have made numerous appearances on radio and TV, and sung the U.S. and Canadian national anthems at Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Colorado Avalanche games as well as many other professional and amateur sporting events. Matt LaFontaineMatt LaFontaine has been playing Sebastian for nearly 12 seasons now.  Every year it just gets better and better, what with new faces and his own getting older (so much for playing the young flirtish cad…)  Matt is humbled to call the Denver theatre community his home, having performed in over 100 productions over the last (cough cough) years.  Recent regional credits include Harry Houdini in RAGTIME (Arvada), Pippin in PIPPIN (Aurora Fox), Benny in RENT (Town Hall, Henry nomination), Nicely-Nicely Johnson in GUYS & DOLLS (Town Hall, Henry nomination, Ovation winner) and Eddie the Fosse doppleganger in DAMN YANKEES (Town Hall.)  In addition to caroling this season, he will also be playing Wally in the Arvada Center holiday production of THE 1940's RADIO HOUR, and 2012 already finds him performing in the new original musical COUNTRY IS at the PACE center as well as Cousin Kevin in Town Hall's THE WHO'S TOMMY.  He figures Santa has much better things to do than listen to his list this year, so he'll leave him be.  Much much love to his fellow carolers, friends, family and all you crazy shoppers out there on Christmas Eve wondering where the time went and why you're procrastinating so much…. he'd tsk tsk you, but that's really more a Felicity jab than his.  Sebastian's far classier than that.  Tidings!!!
